giving up

It feels so wrong. So goddamn wrong. Am I even doing the right thing? I don't know. Fark.

Why give up? Plan to get better car?
How about a FD? FD3S, FD2, FD2R?
If you still like the3 Xantia, just fix it. Don't think so much.

Haha, Vince, I wish it were all that simple. Bought the car for 50k, then an average of 10k for repairs annually for 8 years. It doesn't even make sense to me anymore.

FD2 and the Type R I like lots, but way outta my means. FD3S is my fave, and somewhat within my reach, but I'd stick to a sedan for now, not time to be living the dream yet. I'm not even sure what I want next, we'll see in time.

Wow! How come repair cost is so high?
Better look for alternative? VTEC?

My car quite affordable and acceptable maintenance cost, but not sure if you like one.

I'm an uncle and I want a unique, good-looking, comfortable, utilitarian sedan. I love sedans with lots of headroom, legspace and bootspace. Strong engines are the least of my cares since I don't go fast, I'd go for a proper chassis, suspension and brake setup, and for cheap too hopefully.

Which is damn hard to find.

The Xantia is horrible acceleration-wise, very horrible, but everything else that matters to me, it does so well, which is why I loved it as much as I hate it sometimes. But enough is enough I guess.

I guess I'll ride a bike.

If you say 'you are uncle' then i am a granddad. LOL. It seems that you like stability and comfortable ride.
Maybe a lexus would be a good choice, then mod it to VIP style....
