Lamborghini Countach Photoshop drawing!

Just finished this today!
Lamborghini Countach
Darn it, I selected the Countach because I thought it's simple wedgy shape would be a nice simple exercise for me. I should have known I was wrong when it took me about 2 hours just to finish drawing the lines, then what I expected to be a few hours' worth of painting took nearly 20 hours to complete!! I underestimated the complexity of the Countach's design! Well, anyway, glad it's complete now, at long last, woohooo! Please view the full-size version here!!!

Another uneventful Saturday for me...

...or so I thought, but it actually turned out to be quite an interesting day!

TK called me this morning and asked me if I'd like to visit Youogle's IT office, so I went and checked it out! On the way out, I saw quite some cars by the entrance to my neighbourhood, and army personnel were there barricading the way to Tambun town as the bomb was to be detonated later that morning. There's an airplane circling the area too, probably to make sure no one is staying in the areas ordered for evacuation during the bomb detonation.

The IT office was being renovated when I arrived, and it's actually only across the street where Artes used to be! I parked below Artes, the uncle who guards the parking area recognised my Xantia and came over for a better look :)

We had a lunch appointment with Yen at Repulse Bay in Greentown, I lead the way, and TK was keeping his distance because my car's lousy engine kept feeding him black smoke, lol, sorry :D Yen arrived a bit late for lunch, Joe was supposed to join us but work made him a no-show, oh well, next time hehe.

Lunch was great; the three of us had a great time talking about cars and pets, it's a click! Many thanks to TK for lunch was on him, too, thanks again! My treat next time!

After lunch, Yen wanted to check out TK's KE70, so he graciously opened the doors to show us the interior, and then...

Yen climbed into the car and hijacked the driver's seat!!

We also got a peek of the ITBs with new shiny indian cups :D

The WWII bomb in Tambun has been detonated by the time we're done with lunch and the roads have been reopened, so I went home thru the usual route, but not before I stopped at the bomb site and kepoh-ed a bit :D I got crappy pics with my phone, so I'll just be showing the ones taken earlier by Dad.

Photobucket
The view of the site from across the river. The sandbags were meant to buffer the explosion enough to protect the pipelines and bridge.

Photobucket
This is the pit in which the bomb was detonated.

What remains of the shell.

From what I heard from people who near the site during detonation, there wasn't too huge an explosion, just a moderate one, and all the carnage it managed to incur was only a few punctured sandbags, lol, it's an old bomb after all! Well, now that the threat of explosion's been done with, people can enjoy fishing and teh sessions there with peace of mind again! Too bad the town area's off-limits during detonation; I would have loved to take a few pics of Tambun town while it's a temporary ghost town, it's be slightly unreal seeing that as the town has suddenly become a lot more lively since the discovery of the bomb about a week ago!

Trisha's birthday celebration!

Yes, another birthday! Trisha turned 20 on the 11th, and we took the opportunity to try out the food at a steamboat restaurant Theng suggested earlier.

There was quite a lot of us that night, and the food was good, so it was one fun night! I'll let the pics do the talking:
Photobucket
The group at the first table. We had a room entirely to ourselves at first, but the turnout was more than Theng had initially expected, so we went out to the hall and took two large tables instead :)

Mok couldn't join us for dinner, but came much later :)

Yen made the ribbon and wore it, making herself a present for Trisha :D Trisha got my girlfriend for her birthday!!! NO FAIR!!!

Photobucket
...then the ribbon started making it's way on to everybody, like this..

Photobucket
...and this...

Photobucket
...and this...

Photobucket
...and even on to me!! Boohooohooo, Yen theatened me...

Photobucket

Bou humped me!!!

Another great nite, everybody went home happy! :D

Bou's second birthday celebration!

Yes, second time! Ying was back from KL on the 7th, so we went out to Coco's Cafe to celebrate, again :) Not many were around this time though, only me, Ivan, Bou, Shen, & Ying, just the small bunch of us.

Photobucket
Bou was wearing the flashing display T-shirt Wennice got him for his birthday :) Cool huh? Should have taken a video of it; it's got a few different flashing patterns!

As Sunday, the 8th will be the Dumpling Festival, Ying had something a liitle bit unusual for Bou's birthday cake, and that is...
Photobucket
TA-DA-DAH!!!! A rice dumpling!! Complete with candles and "Happy Birthday" sign!!

Poor Bou, he's had rice dumplings for breakfast and lunch that day, then supper too! I don't think he'll complain though :p Other patrons in the cafe were looking at us with curious glee while we were singing the birthday song :D

Photobucket
Bou with his nth dumpling of that day

Bou was handing out souveneirs he bought from his recent trip to Taiwan too, the rest got some cute bear keychains, but what I got was more unique, I got this:
Photobucket
An ocarina shaped like a helicopter! It comes complete with a nice paper bag, box and even songbook!

Photobucket
I've tried a few times learning to play the ocarina since I got it, but my hands are too clumsy for it's teeny size. Oh well, gotta put more practise to it :D

Triple birthday celebration!

Woot! Just realised I hadn't updated my blog in ages; almost forgot I have one, so I'm gonna churn out a few posts in a row :p

A lot of the bunch were either busy or away from town during the past few weeks, so we didn't get to celebrate Theng and Bou's birthdays (29th & 30th May respectively) on time. We just waited till Darren's birthday on 4th June and had a triple-celebration at Brown's!

Photobucket
Cake!

Wish wish wish...

Photobucket
... blow blow blow...

Photobucket
...cut cut cut...

Photobucket
...open open open...

Photobucket
...then TA-DAHHHHHHHHH!!

The trio got lots of presents that day, dolls, mugs, cosmetics & pendants (for Theng, of course), and even T-shirts & wrist strap with battery-powered flashing display!!

Photobucket
Bou's Giraffe and Darren's er, er, I donno what animal is it supposed to be. Ivan kept saying it's a cat but kittehs freakin DO NOT have muffs!!! So er, I'll leave it at that, I suck at identifying animals anyway, if you remember the keychain at all :p

It was a great night and we took many many pics! I totally whored out the timer function on Wennice's new camera! I'll just post a few pics though :D
